Dating back to 1738, Wright's Ferry Mansion offers a pristine example of life in Lancaster County's early colonial settlements. Visitors can tour the house with professional guides from May through the end of October. You can also take a virtual tour of the mansion to prepare for your trip.

2. President James Buchanan's Wheatland

Explore the 10-acre property of the 15th President of the United States. After a guided tour of James Buchanan's beloved home, visitors can check out the Lousie Arnold Tanger Arboretum on the same grounds. This hidden treasure features exquisite gardens and trees from around the world.

Regular guided tours of Wheatland are available from the end of January until mid-November, when holiday programming starts.
