In the summer, temperatures in Lancaster County begin to climb. If you're looking for a place to cool off, check out some of our favorite water parks and water park-type settings in Lancaster.

The Boardwalk at Hersheypark

Hersheypark is perhaps one of the best-known attractions in south-central Pennsylvania, but did you know your summer admission also gives you access to the Boardwalk? The Boardwalk at Hersheypark features a collection of water park attractions to help you cool off on a hot summer day, including the Breakers Edge® Water Coaster, wave pools, waterslides and a lazy river.

Hersheypark is only about 40 minutes outside of Lancaster City, so it's easy to make it part of your next visit to the area.

Mt. Gretna Lake & Beach

Mt. Gretna Lake & Beach is a hidden jewel in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, that provides a perfect day of relaxation and outdoor summertime fun. The recreational facility features eight acres of beach, lawn, picnic areas and lifeguarded swimming areas along the stream-fed Conewago Lake.

Relax on the beach, jump from the rope swings or paddle across the lake in a rental canoe or kayak while enjoying the picturesque surroundings of Mt. Gretna.

Skyline Pool

Open to the public and operated by Manheim Township Recreation Department, the Skyline Pool offers something for everyone. Kids can enjoy the zero-entry splash zone, with features like bubblers, tumble buckets, and a fun kiddie slide, while adults supervise from the leisure pool. More dedicated swimmers can enjoy the separate competition lap pool and diving area.

Lititz Springs Pool

If you're looking for a fun, modern place to cool off, the newly-renovated Lititz Springs Pool is a great option. Lititz Springs offers a spacious recreation area with plenty of room for sunbathing, relaxing, and, of course, swimming. The new pool features a kiddie splash pad, dueling water slides, and a zero-entry play area that transitions into the main recreational pool. Lititz Springs also offers a separate lap pool for serious swimmers.

Nickel Mines Pool

Nickel Mines Pool is a supersized pool surrounded by picturesque farmland. The pool, which ranges from 3 feet to 10 feet deep, is fed by the many freshwater springs on the property. The water is filtered and conditioned before being fed into the pool, where it's heated to a comfortable temperature.
